Sneak Preview

Renovating our ensuite has been a long haul. What we thought would be mainly just a repaint and re-tile job turned south when demolition revealed rotten floor joists, earthworms living in the underfloor (no joke), wall tiles fixed directly to brick, crumbling plasterboard, the works. My husband is a super star and has worked his butt off the last 6 months and we're excited to see it finally coming together. The journey deserves a longer post, but for now, a quick glimpse.

We bought this gorgeous cast iron pedestal basin for a pittance on ebay. It had been stored outdoors for many years and was in need of some TLC so we had it professionally refinished and it came up a beauty.

Love these taps and have another set in a box for the second bathroom vanity when it goes in. They were half price at the Schots Autumn sale.

Just some tile grouting to do this weekend, then we'll get someone to put the screen in as we've decided a big piece of frameless glass is too tricky/dangerous to DIY, right?
